Another Post By Bones

Hey, it's me again. I don't typically write but I really should. Writing is fun. I think I'm gonna write more often starting with this one.
CHAPTER 1
It was dark. So dark in fact, that not even her hand was visible in front of her face. She couldn't tell where she was, or what was around her, or even _what_ she was. But what she lacked in sight, she made up in her other senses. The room had a very particular smell to it. Something earthy and woody with a hint of rain. Like a walk through a forest in the spring. There was something comforting about it. Something that made her feel at ease.
There was also the sound. A faint buzzing, electric like sound. Constant and unchanging. She couldn't feel anything. It was as if nothing was around her, not even herself. She still tried to reach out, of course. To touch a wall or the floor, but none presented themselves. Was she floating? Was she paralyzed? Not even she knew.
She tried to remember a time before and with some success she remembered the sun and a grassy plain. Flowers and bees and an assortment of fauna. Pleasant memories of the before. Yet, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't remember how she got in this predicament. It was as if those memories were simply erased from her mind.
As she thought and tried to recall anything that might be of use, a sound emerged. It started quiet and hard to make out but as time passed it got louder and louder until it sounded just a little ways off. It was a tune being hummed, one she was not familiar with. It kept getting closer until suddenly, it stopped and a loud creaking sound followed...
